Information we collect
If you use the contact form, Applewood receives your name, email address, message and the technical information needed to keep the form secure. If you contact Applewood by telephone, email or WhatsApp, Applewood receives the information you choose to provide in that conversation.
The hosting platform may create limited server logs such as IP address, browser type, request time and error information to operate and secure the site. This website does not create a customer account and does not collect payment-card details directly.
How information is used
Personal information is used to answer enquiries, assess availability, prepare and manage bookings, deliver rabbit care, keep the service secure, maintain business records and comply with legal obligations.
The lawful basis will depend on the situation. It may be taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a boarding contract, meeting a legal obligation, a legitimate interest in operating a safe service, or consent where the law requires it.
Service providers and external booking
The new site is intended to use Vercel for hosting, Resend for contact-form email delivery and Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. These providers process only the information needed to provide their service and operate under their own security and data-processing terms.
Booking takes place on PetManager in a new browser tab. Information entered there is provided directly to PetManager and is also used by Applewood to manage your booking. Review the PetManager privacy information before submitting sensitive details.
Applewood may also share relevant information with a veterinary practice, emergency contact, insurer, professional adviser or public authority when needed to protect animal welfare, perform the contract, establish legal rights or comply with law.
International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, Applewood and its providers rely on approved safeguards for international transfers. Contact Applewood if you need more detail about a particular provider used at the time of your enquiry.
How long information is kept
Enquiry and booking information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for care, customer service, accounting, insurance, dispute handling and legal obligations. Records may be retained longer when an active complaint, claim or legal duty requires it. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or securely anonymised.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal information, object to certain processing, receive portable data, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

The website and boarding contract are intended for adults. Applewood does not knowingly collect website enquiries directly from children.
